"Talking" Guitar effect.....????

Hi

I've been listening to an old 33 1/3 from the 60's called Switched-On-Country by Rick Powell and I want to reproduce the sounds he made using the Moog synth.
I've got close using the MinimogueVA VST to make the long sustained guitar sound, but need some help to make it "Talk" How do I modulate the guitar sound with my voice?. I used a mic. on line-in and can record my voice OK, but don't know how to modulate the guitar sound from the VST.

any help is appreciated, as I'm having a lot of fun with these VST's. It's alot of fun to use midi (soundfonts), and VST's together and experiment with the endless combinations....good for spending long winter nights INSIDE !!!
