Default LiveMix Theme

Started working out a Live Mix Theme for my MixRack and so far this is what I have:

This is an example using my 16 channel mix template, the theme is based on (obviously) the default 3.0 theme, as thats the one I've allways used to mix FOH with. Borrowed the fader knobs from Pyerbass' API v 4.0 theme, changed a few colours and got rid of the solo and automation buttons, as they only get me into trouble live.

I like the idea. Big simple colour coding is good. Presets and standard layouts are good too. You could name some effects chains: bass, guitar, male vocal... Hmm strategising for live use...

This is just my starting template, I usually save the mix from each act I do so I have everything ready the second time around. I just like having the basics to start with, I have the guitar folder side chained to the Vocal folder by default, but that's about it. I also have presets to do live drum replacement, but they always need tweaking to get them to trigger properly.

You can't get more practical than that.

Andy, if the solo-button gets you in to trouble try this:

That way you can have your cookie and eat it too

EDIT: Oops, just realised you were in that thread too, so probably old news...

Very simplistic indeed without the req. of eye-candy.

You may need to highlight the folder/buss icon as they are difficult to see in this lay-out.

Overall, well suited for live use to minimize on CPU resources.

Did you implement this at your RIM gig? If so, how was your lag response via wireless VNC?

Keep up the good work Hamm

PS: Call me this week if you get some time...

Hey Tan,
Nope we used the Midas for the "RIM Job", haven't had a chance to try this theme live yet, so there are a few more things I'll have to tweek.
