Default two fairly trivial bugs in 0.986

annoyance/halfbug in external editor setup
In Preferences/External Editors, if you mistakenly include the dot before the extension, you won't get an error message, but your editor won't work.

I'd prefer that the textbox allow dot or no-dot and just fix it, but even an 'illegal character' message would be better than it just not working.

internal documentation
The midi editor dialog with the "close editor" option on the bottom (with a midi editor open, right-click on the word "channel" between the disk icons and the channel setting) - the menu says Esc is the keyboard shortcut, and it isn't, Ctrl+M is.

I'm seeing one bug that is creeping in Reaper for some time: in some ocassions, when copy of item is auto-crossfaded with it's parent instance, only fadeout is working, not fadein.
