.985 still has the major bug with pan which was introduced in .984 - if you have volume envelope record-armed, and pan envelope displayed but not armed, pan control goes ape.

(Justin, sorry to be negative at the outset about a great release but I tested that one first!).

Hmm not sure if I'm trying to duplicate this the right way.. is this MCU/bcf only or just using hte main ui too?

Double checked with BCF switched off and also removed from prefs. Have ticks in the new Envelopes dialog for volume, visible, arm and for Pan, visible (not arm). Move pan control and it goes funny.

By "funny" I mean if you move the pan to the left, the audio goes to the right, and when you let go of the pan, it shoots across to the right to match where the audio has gone! Bizarre...

What automation mode (if any) are you in?

Ooops - necessary condition - automation read has to be on to cause this.

In fact, having automation read on is the ONLY necessary condition to cause this, regardless of envelopes etc.

So, to repro, create new project, insert an item, put automation into read with no envelopes, play, move pan to one side and observe odd behaviour.

Just about all "my" bugs seem fixed - cheers! - the last one outstanding that I can think of is the one related to record/pause - which was fixed for the transport but still is there for the keyboard shortcuts. So, if when recording you press Enter to pause, then press it again to unpause, recording is terminated instead.

Let's not talk about 986 yet, I think 985 really should have its momentum as quite an impressive update

Great overview in the i/o and envelope menu's, finally the MIDI double clicks, ReaFir getting even better... etc.

I read and thought about it twice, in vain, so what is:
"automatic slide editing when the border between two selected items is moved" ?

Anyway - Justin, you're good.

Cool update, the new pop-ups for send/receives and envelopes are proving to be much speedier here.

If two objects are butted together on the same track, select both and drag the edge they "share" both edges move together.

Before it would've grabbed one objects edge and moved it, resulting in a overlap or crossfade.

Of course! Thanks Youn. I didn't read/understand 'moved' as 'dragged' so the clue was gone.

Great update!

By the way, if anyone hasn't looked at ReaFir in a while, it may very well be the greatest plugin ever!

I was thinking of getting Soniformer (which is fantastic), now I don't need it! ReaFir will do what Soniformer will, AND MORE!!!

the question is: will it sound as good.

functionality is one thing, sound is another.

alesky's plugins sound nearly perfect....

I'd like to be able to select (hardware) Inputs from the I/O overview, as well.
