If it's recorded badly than that's that. You can remove low frequency
rumble with high pass filter, adjust the overall color by slightly reducing
unwanted/resonant bands/frequencies, and gently boost the parts you
wish to enhance a bit, remove the noise by using gate when there are no
vocals and compress them slightly to sound more present and upfront,
that's pretty much it.
You could also apply a bit of tube saturation to add some even harmonics
to original signal if you wish to make them a bit brighter/warm, but don't
overdo it.
The part I don't understand is you are using a dynamic mic, which is already
less sensitive to higher frequencies, and you want to cut them even more?
With condenser you'd only get a clearer sound with higher frequencies more
present, so I'm confused what you are trying to achieve.
Also, VST
i stands for
Instrument, a VST plug-in that generates (and
shapes) the sound, not process the input signal.
