If your interested
I was running an diagnostic on my win 10 pro, one of the problems it found was with the latest version of Reaper having 7 issues.

It did not say what issues, doesn't make any difference. I went back to reaper version 5.97 64 bit, ran the same check and no longer had issues.

what is this "diagnostic," where did you find it, why did you install it, and who told you it was a good idea?

I agree more information is needed. "Issues" could be anything from actively sharing your banking information to leaving some temp files behind. Hell, Avast regularly warns me that "anyone can see what you do online." OK, Avast, I'll make sure to browse imgur through your VPN so no one can see me looking at pictures of funny dogs and meme dumps.
Most of those diagnostics find "something" to show that they do what they claim, so without knowing what the issues are, it's an empty claim.

FYI:
If memory serves it tracks things like crashes and app hangs, sometimes it's useful but for apps like reaper, if say a plugin crashes then it get's flagged as the app having problems and is often just a false alarm. There is an on-demand diagnostic that can be run that's in that same category in control panel > troubleshooting.
Now if one just installs a different version of the app, it simply clears the slate, it doesn't really mean anything since the next time something occurs, that version will get flagged too.

The whole thing is very vague and aloof 'diagnostic', 'unknown issues'.
People get to caught up in this whole 'issues' or 'problems' reported by many programs - when in fact, mostly it is just a ploy to get your money.

as i had stated before the issues were with the current reaper version.
I never use any of the pre release versions, they are just a waste of time or are you saying that reaper releases are pre release versions for the next version released.

I did state the problem in a different post with no responses, so I started searching the Microsoft site for solutions and found the diagnostic I used, so I guess people on reaper forum believe that Microsoft diagnostic tools are bogus when they report anything negative about reaper.
I guess they did not tell the creators of the diagnostic tool that they can't report anything negative about reaper.

I knew it. The Russians hacked Reaper and are using Reaper to influence our elections. Russian Environment for Altering Presidential Election Results.

No, it's just that your problem (the one in a different post) was: "When I record with Reaper for about two hours the sound gets a static noise." Most likely the Microsoft diagnostic doesn't report an issue called "When you record using this application, the sound gets a static noise after two hours", wouldn't you agree? As you say "one of the problems it found was with the latest version of Reaper having 7 issues", the point is, if you don't actually tell (or know) what those seven issues were, drawing further technical conclusions on the situation is literally impossible based on only the knowledge that there were "seven issues" involving Reaper on your machine.
I wouldn't had commented at all, but you specifically said "It did not say what issues, doesn't make any difference." This in spite of creating a thread that deals with those issues as its main topic. Just sit back for a moment and reflect on how strange that sounds . Again, of course it makes a difference.

do you know what the pre-releases are? I guess not... so ok now it's clear which reaper you are using...
what is not clear is what the diagnostics are reporting...
I mean... let's stop a minute and think... there are thousands of reaper users on many platforms.... and have been for years... do you think reaper has been causing problems for them all?
I've been using reaper for many years and have not seen any such 'problems'...
