Select notes under edit cursor

Hey all,

is there a way to select the notes under the edit cursor in the MIDI Editor or do we have to use the Time Selection function for that?

Do you have the free reapack installed ?
(www.reapack.com)

If so, when you open Action List when MIDI Editor is in focus,
you can search for "under mouse" in the Action List's filter field.

It will come up with all kinds of "note selection under mouse" Actions.
So not really "note under edit cursor" but maybe you will find these note under mouse Actions helpful also.

Hey vanhaze,

yeah, I got ReaPack installed and checked for under mouse actions.
But I really need an "under cursor" action. But I will see if I can put something together.
I just thought there is maybe already a script that cares of that :-)

EDIT: I found a "Add Items under edit Cursor to selection" in ReaPack.
Maybe I can change it to my needs.

Might wanna use a mouse modifier that selects notes touched by dragging... I find it pretty useful at times.

@EvilDragon, would love to use a mouse modifier. But I need this function for a macro.
I'll post my workaround script in a few.

EDIT: cfillion did a way cooler, faster and more reliable version of that via LUA:
go and get it on ReaPack: "Set item end to cursor and resize trailing MIDI notes"
