Default Midi Controller - Split Keyboard CPU Problem

.
After playing with split keyboard for a few minutes my task manager CPUgoes from about 2% to 100% [Reaper CPU totally different] and the sound is breaking up completely. What would cause this.

Sometimes I'm finding that when I play the right hand the notes playing on the left are stopped. OR when a chord on the right is already playing nothing on the left will play or become very quiet.

I'm using a Medeli Midi keyboard where you can only use 1 of the 2 midi out channels. Also Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on HP Compaq 8300 Elite SFF.

Default Split Keyboard

Hey There,

Did you ever get a reply to this? I just got a Nektar T61 and am trying to figure out how to split the keyboard so that I can use 2 different VST's with it. Nektar wasn't much help and referred me to the Nektarine software but I cant find anything useful in there.

Folks use to be much more helpful in the forums years ago, but I see a whole lot of questions unanswered now days
