Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, but when I'm creating a new version by duplicating and edit this version (splitting, trimming), switch back to original and again to the duplicated edited version, the edits aren't there anymore.

Hi Sexan !
Don't want to bother you, I'm sure you've got a lot of things to do and on top of that, your new Area(51) script must take you a lot of time - and it looks pretty impressive by the way
So once again, don't mean to bother you, I'm just checking if there is any news about the Mac version. Can't wait to try this little gem
Thank you for all your hard work !

Unfortunately the latest version (v0.03) it doesn't save the state of the versions automatically, am i missing something here? I wish we coulb have an option for manual version save like the first GUIless versions...
I'm on Win 64, Reaper v5.975 64bit.
Fantastic work Sexan, this script and the project time counter are by far my favorites.
Thanks for everything!!!

Not sure if anyone else having an issue with the latest version of the script but here when i duplicate a midi lane and then bounce in place the midi to audio in that new lane, the script is not saving the newly created *.wav file. Also, when i go back to the first version (lane) and edit the midi sometimes it forgets to save the state after the changes... @Sexan, could you please bring back the manual save button like we used to have in the earlier versions, that would solve all of my problems... Thank you so much, I hope to hear from you soon!

Does it happen only on duplicate?
Oh I see whats the issue... Auto save has some predefined variables for auto saving to happen and what you do is not triggered in autosave function (it does not respond on "CUSTOM" undo and some "MIDI" stuff), will fix that and also bring back manual save

Workaround until the fix:
Just grab one edge of the item and resize it or move it and it will save it

So, copy and pasting to a new lane seems to be working, duplicate is not. Also, editing an existing midi file is not working either. Here is an example:

This looks amazing! Is there anything Pro Fools can do that REAPER can't other than choke your CPU with a single instance of a Pro-L2 oversampling 4x? (Not just mine—my friend's Mac Pro.)
I keep getting this error when I try to run the script:
Sexan_track_versions_core.lua:5: attempt to call a nil value (field 'JS_Window_FindChildByID')
I ran Set Lokasenna_GUI v2 library path.lua and updated everything in ReaPack. Is there something simple I'm missing?
[EDIT] Yes, I was missing something obvious, but I'll leave my stupid up here just in case anyone else runs into the issue. I didn't have the juliansader repo in ReaPack, so it wasn't updating js_ReaScriptAPI: API functions for ReaScripts. Here's where you can get his repo if you don't have it:

Well, I don't see where to post bug reports, but the first time I got it to launch and clicked "Groups" it crashed with the following error code:
Error: Sexan_Track_versions_gui.lua:710: attempt to index a nil value (field 'groups')
Stack traceback:

Lokasenna_GUI: v2.16.4

Maybe I'm still missing something obvious. Thought I had 'er figured out.

Sorry to bother you Sexan, I know you are a busy man but do you have any updates on that bug? I can't wait to start using this script when is fixed, at the moment I always forget to resize each item manually and I end up losing my work, very frustrating... Once again, thank you so much for everything, I hope to hear from you soon!

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time and trying to fix the auto save issue, unfortunately I'm facing the same bug when one track version is midi and then the duplicate of it is bounced in place as an audio file, the audio disappears when i switch back and forth. The issue is solved though when you are just dealing with midi, meaning, just duplicating a track version of a midi file and edit the new one, all works as it should. At least now we have the option to manually save with the new "save" addition of your script(thank you so much for that!!!). I hope you'll find the time and be able to fix that bug. Thanks again, here is a *.gif showing the remaining issue.

Update:
Added custom actions to autosave
This will now fix your issue since you are using custom actions that would not trigger autosave

Unfortunately I'm getting the same results, for some reason it doesn't save the audio automatically...

This custom action is "Item:Apply track/take FX to items" and "Take: Crop to active take in items"

Thank you so much for this amazing script Sexan!!
I've tried saving and restoring FX versions on folder tracks and master tracks and it doesn't seem to be working, does it not work on them or am I missing something?

Master track is not implemented, also not sure if I've implemented fx for folders.Unfortunatly I do not have time to work on that ATM because I'm working hard on Area51 script.

This is such an incredibly useful tool! So much so, I would like to park it permanently in my main docker. Initially I can, but when I close and reopen a session, it disappears and needs to be re-docked. Is there a setting somewhere I need to enable to keep it in place?

+1 for this, it would save us a few clicks!
Also, i would like to see a standard GUI version (non Lokasenna ), like the first versions of the script (I liked the fact you could resize the script to your needs).

Reaper has no standard GUI; that's why I wrote mine. Out of curiosity, what issue are you having with it?

When resizing gui the buttons stay at their position, he wants them to expand/resize also when script window is resized, which was the default behavior of the eugenes template (but only to certain size)

Ah. In that case, there's a global hook for running code when the window is resized, GUI.onresize, and also Element.onresize for individual elements/classes. If you store their original x/y/w/h at startup, it would be pretty easy to resize them dynamically - that's what Euguen's template does.
I'm hoping to add a wrapper for doing this easily in v3.

Hello Sexan - looking forward to that!
I do have a concern about using this script that I'm hoping you can clear up for me.
In a possible future scenario, should Reaper one day be updated in a way that might break compatibility with the script, is there a way I can manually access the track versions it creates so as to insure no loss of data will occur? I've noticed quite a few older scripts in the library no longer function as they should, and that got me to wondering how I might be able to recover track version data should that ever happen here.

Sorry for nitpicking, but the GUI looks a bit broken on Mac, actually. Functionally, it's good. Thanks for the great work, Sexan.
