Black Rooster Edelweiss is wacko in my Reaper

If anyone who has Black Rooster's Edelweiss can check if they get this behavior it would be great.

This recreates every time I try it. Put Edelweiss on a stereo track, L & R linked, turn some eq knobs and save a preset. Then turn some knobs again. Go back to the saved preset. The knobs fly off in all directions, and L & R to different places even though the should be linked. Then load that same preset again and they fly off somewhere else.

This is happening on two MBPs. Don't have another DAW on them to try.

Not finding any chat about this deal breaking behavior anywhere on other DAWs. A Black Rooster/Reaper thing?

Weird. Can confirm. Not sure what's going on here.

Also happens when exporting preset as FXP.

Any change to an Eq knob and then selecting a preset or resetting to factory default will replicate this behavior.

Just checked, same behavior in Renoise.

Ought to send a trouble ticket their way.

This behavior appears to be specific to Edelweiss. I have the full catalog (mins the new reverb that just dropped) and none of the other plugins do this.

Hey rainydayshirts! Thank you SOOO much for taking the time to check that! I got the bundle in the Thanksgiving sale but haven't delved into Edelweiss hardly at all so I didn't come across this, *BUT* just had to make a slight change in a mix from a month ago, that I had put it on at the end of the day without revisiting, and it totally bit me in the butt! I thought this is so crazy there's no way it could be happening in all DAWs because it's at least two months later and this is not an obscure usage bug, and no one on the net has mentioned it. People would be all over this. Weird.

Also installed the latest, it's the same version # a few builds later.

Appreciate your confirming that it's an Edelweiss issue, and not a Reaper one. I've run into an instance or two where Reaper's way of dealing with saved presets was getting some unexpected results (not remembering a preset or similar), but nothing like this.

I emailed BR at the same time as posting this, so hopefully they'll have something to say.

No problem. I got the Black Friday bundle, too. Edelweiss is the one I have used the least so far. Excellent plugin, though.

Maybe post to this thread with any updates if you wouldn't mind.

Will do. I sent it to them the day I posted this and got a reply that didn't seem auto generated that was just an acknowledgment of getting it. Disappointed that have not heard back as of yet.

"Unfortunately we don't have a solution for the issue yet. There will be a major update for the Edelweiss in June -- the issue is addressed. Sorry for I don't have a better answer at this point."

Until then Edelweiss is unusable. Very strange that it's been out for so long (and not cheap at the non sale price) in this state.
