You can make custom action with "Go back one measure" and "Go to start of current measure", it should do same effect for you.

Hello Andy,
try this, works for me.
Reaper's understanding of "next", "previous", "start" and "end" has given me bad hair days more than once.
lol,

Nope, sorry, that's what I meant.
When you're exactly on the "one" it jumps back two measures.
cheers,

Ahh.. you are true, i don't count with that situation. When cursor is exactly at start of measure, "Go to start of current measure" would jump whole measure back. Your approach in custom action is better.

To us mere mortals the "one" is the beginning of a measure -
but what do we know ?

Hi spk77,
thank you for scripts! Works great. You really deserve to be first recipient of Reaper most valuable user gold award for all your scripts. (It is time to make FR for creation of this award in next Reaper version).
Frankly.. whenever I try to improve some workflow thing, i usually wrote some script for it and next day, i find either you or SWS guys addressed it much better..

Hi Andy,
it is EEL script. To use it, you'll need to import file as custom action. Although you can place it anywhere, I would recommend to use sub-directory Scripts in Reaper's resource directory, because it is default choice and also it will be included in Reaper configuration backups (Prefrences -> General pane).
- Open resource your folder via Options > Show REAPER resource path in Explorer/Finder
- Find there existing directory named Scripts or create new one
- Save script to this directory or put it to another subdir (for instance spk77) for better organization
- Open Action window in Reaper
- Import script vi button ReaScript: New/load
- New action with name "Custom: script name" should appear on top of your action list
- Place it on your custom floating toolbar or map it to keystroke as usual
