Default Illegal smile - John Prine cover by Skribe

Hoping that John Prine recovers from Covid-19. He has brought us lots of joy.

Here is a cover of John Prine's "Illegal Smile", recorded a couple of years ago by Skribe in my son's studio (using Reaper of course)

Revisiting this recording now seems appropriate in many ways.

I haven't been exposed to much Prine material, but I liked this song--it was almost like two in one. The earthy sound of the recording and Aaron's vocal lifted it even more. Now I need to check out the original.

Do you know something we don't? So far everything says he's in the ICU but stable.

I'll gladly trade 10 Katy Perry's for one John Prine!

No, but apparently I can't read. Thanks for pointing out my error. I corrected my original posting to indicate that Prine is trying to recover.

If you like down to earth but well crafted tunes, Prine is your man. Skribe (Aaron Yealdhall) has a voice that really appeals to me too. He is also a great songwriter, and is one of the most popular solo singer/songwriters in the Annapolis, Maryland area. Plus he is one of the nicest, most altruistic people you could ever meet. I am always glad to hear from you Sammy, and am pleased you liked the recording.
