Default Able to pin FX to specific slots

Can FX be tied to specific slots? A very necessary thing

As a user of Reaper but not a developer, I don’t understand what you are requesting. Would you please expound on this a bit?

For example, are you saying that if the name of a track is “drums” that the default FX for that track will be loaded differently than if a track is named “guitars”?

While this is mathematically possible, the problem they may run into in the vast number of potential names people might use for tracks…

For example, when importing from an analog recorder such as the Tascam Model 24, the names might be assigned as [NameOfSong]01, [NameOfSong]02, etc, but depending on the band recorded, [NameOfSong]01 may not always be a snare drum, and [NameOfSong]02 may not always be a vocal. Although, I guess that would be the fault of the Recording Engineer, so there IS that….

I'm also confused what exactly you mean with slots.
In and Out pins? The order of the fx in the FXChain? Tracknumbers? Something else?

Edit:
It could be helpful, if you read this wonderful post on how to create Feature Requests.
That way you help the devs a lot to understand what you're after:

Yea, for sure. You have the first part right but not the next parts. And I suspect you may be onto something, so should definitely do the following:

* Request
Describe the new feature that you are requesting. (No novels please ).

* Benefit
Explain why and how this new feature will benefit users; not examples of use but what we will get out of it. The bigger the benefit, the more the developers will consider the requet, I hope.

* Reason
Explain any problems / issues currently encountered without this feature.

* Implementation Suggestion
Describe any implementation ideas that you have. Includes screenshots, mock-ups or videos if they help. The management reserve the right to ignore this section completely.

I'm assuming it refers to what's shown here in the bottom pic?

It's been asked for ages.

Kenny did a video about this topic recently:
