Default Reaper Not Opening Saved Projects

I am having trouble opening existing projects in Reaper. I don't have the best computer in the world: 1.46ghz intel processor with 1 gb of ram. This could be the reason, but in the past it was able to open them. I am at a loss as to what to do, and I was hoping that if I am able to adjust a setting of sorts that it might help me until I can get a better computer.

to rule out your plugins crashing your project, open from the file menu, and choose "fx offline" or whatever that option is called, see how that works for starters....

I think it's the plugins too. I don't see that option under the file menu - only if I right click over the FX window and in that case it's only disabling it for the current project??

Recent projects submenu, it will asks you to load

Brilliant! It worked I was able to bring them all back online except for 1, and that may be my problem. Does anyone know anything about a poise plug in?

Do you mean this one?

Try a brand-new project with just that plugin in it.

Yes that is it (maybe an older version) and it's definitely causing my projects to crash. I just switched over to a different drum sampler and things are working with no problem.

Thanks everyone, I've been ripping my hair out for weeks Now, back to making music.....
