Default Solo jamming with Reaper - crikey, it's fun!

Hi,

I've recently rediscovered how incredibly fun jamming with Reaper is.

13 years ago (yikes) I had intended to use Reaper for solo gigs - laptop, a couple of keyboards, a guitar and a few pedals to control things.

Then life decided that it wasn't having any of that malarkey, preferring to push me in the direction of inflicting an acoustic guitar on friends, acquaintances and unfortunate randoms while enjoying various levels of negligible sobriety.

Over the last few months I've got the bug back.

I've no intention to gig but, by jimminy, playing 'live' with yourself ain't half fun.

Having said that, the (re)learning curve is quite precipitous and there a fair few niggles.

This 'ere video is from a Facebook live-stream I did on my personal profile this morning and has very, very, painfully obvious examples of both my ineptitude* and of bizarre things happening.

The bits where things go quiet when they should do the opposite are down to me not sorting out the mute/solo actions properly.

The sustain pedal's decision to not sustain is another matter entirely.

* ropey keyboard playing skills notwithstanding - for the last ten years I've been spanking planks rather than caressing keys.
