Default Who decides

1. Who decides to disable the "Antialiased peak & waveform drawing" on some themes (as in Default of v. 6.36)?
2. Who decides to make it impossible to truly center the Transport in v. 6.36, the way it looks perfectly centered in Default_5.0?

If making 1. & 2. doable takes a line or two of Walter code, why the hell does it have to be f***ed with, making customization of REAPER an endless stream of unnecessary frustrations? Making music is challenging enough - do we have to wrestle with the tools all the time, too???

The reality is that the tweak you seek might, indeed, be very simple to achieve. It might, however, be complex or even impossible.

The theme maker decides these things. In the case of the Default v6, it has both antialiased peaks and a center-able transport, so perhaps you're talking about a different theme?

When you have "Center Transport Controls" set and then switch back and forth between Default 5 and Default 6, you can see the transport control buttons are shifted to the Left quite a bit more than Default 5 where it seems to be more centered to the screen.

At least that's what I believe the OP is referring to.

Here's a comparison view. The RED line is actual center. Neither is perfectly centered but 6 is shifted quite a bit to the left of center.

Well if that's what he calls wrestling with the tools then ...er... uh-huh.

It's the ole human's are creatures of habit problem. You get used to going to a certain location for something, someone moves it 2 inches to the left and your whole day is ruined.

So why not use the default 5 theme then?

Transport controls are more to the left, but cursor position indicator is more centered, which is better in my opinion than to be lost on the left side.
