Default Gain Display in Track Parameters: Why 7 Decimal Places?

So glad I found a home for this momentous query here; nitpicking couldn't be a more fitting description!

So, because Reaper still doesn't provide post-fader FX, I'm having to retire the actual MCP fader and use a fader plug-in, namely the excellent Klangfreund LUFS Meter 2.

Of course I can't have more than 2 or 3 of these open so need to rely on FX parameters(track controls) to display the gain values.

Problem is: they are being displayed with 7 decimal places which looks distracting. This is for the VST2/3 version; the AU version is slightly better with "only" 4 decimals, but it only displays a scale from 0 to 1, not decibels.

The developer couldn't find anything to alter in his code that would make Reaper change this behaviour but maybe someone has a suggestion here? Thanks!

I agree. I've noticed a few other things like this too.

Volume values - do they need to be displayed to two decimal places? Nobody needs 1/100th of a dB precision when adjusting faders.

Transport play rate: three decimal places is unnecessary. Even less necessary is the extra two zeros the tooltip tags on!
