Default Controls from font

Hello, while I was debugging the algorithm of my plugin, I was becoming more and more satisfied with the use of a font instead of bitmaps and svg. It looks good and responds even better, both on sliders and on knobs and buttons. Someone told me it was not convenient. Is this a bad practice? Thanks!

Well, I guess you either need to use a standard font (like Arial or Verdana), or else you will have to include it with your plugin somehow (install it, or embed it as resource).

Fonts are great.

The problems is editing them or customising them is not so convenient, as not so many people use font-editors.

There are workarounds with using popular vector editors (Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity Designer, etc.), but font-editors offer much more features for editing and import\export.

In an OpenType fonts font you can have colour, icons and emojis, .png embedding.
