Default How do I do this..

I tried searching for this information and did not find it. So, if the answer to this is already posted sorry for the repeat question, I could not find it though..

I want to take a 2 guitar tracks, and route them into one VST ampsim. One track on the left and one on the right

So, how can that routing be done in Reaper?

Thanks
KM

I would put Shred on a track and then create two child tracks under it. Record your two guitar tracks there and pan left and right.

...at least, I think that's what you're after.

Sends!

Have one track which holds Shred. Then add two more tracks below. Pan them L and R. Now press and HOLD the "io" button of the first track below the Shred track, and drag it to the "io" button of the Shred track. Release mouse button. Press Esc to close the window. Repeat for the second track below the Shred track.

That should do it!

(EDIT: folders are even simpler to do, I'm overly complicating it here XD)

OK, So thats step 1, now Step 2 is to double that number, now what about 4 tracks? Same process? I have 4 inputs into the VST, so, how do we use them all?

And, can someone make me a template for this?

Thanks
KM

Yeah, 4 tracks will do as well. But in that case you MUST use sends (or alternatively, returns). See pic:

I hope this would work.

Hey Ken, im only seeing two inputs in the VST here. Is this a new version of Shred youre testing or have i got some wires crossed here?

Anyway, heres a template that runs 4 separate guitar tracks into 4 inputs on track one (if thats what you mean).
