Got a great foot controller for Reaper ! :) but how to send to my synth?
I just bought the Line 6 FBV Express mkII, a very handy (guitar) foot controller to use for my synths also.
I can control my synths with it.
Only question I have:
How can I redirect the midi from it to my external synth on ch16?

If you want to do it within Reaper, devote a track to it. Get it set up so midi events show up when you arm & monitor the track and wiggle the foot pedal. Then create a midi hardware send to your synth with the track routing window, and direct it to only send to midi channel 16. This will unfortunately record unneeded midi junk on that track whenever you record.
Another way is to do it outside of Reaper but still within you PC using MidiOx, inputing on all channels and outputing only on Ch. 16.
Either way eats up 2 midi ports on your PC, one input & one output.

Hm,
Maybe i can find a js plugin that filters some of the ch1 data to another midi channel?
I have a sustain on ch1 and ch16 on the panel.
Can a track send only to 1 channel at a time?

Yes it can. It's an option when you create a modi send

It’s the cool new way of saying MIDI send.

You have audio and MIDI in/out menus when you create a send, below the volume slider.

Yes correct,
But this asks for audio send. I only need midi send. So it's not possible midi only?

You can of course disable audio send... Did you check all the options you have when you click on one of those 4 menus?

Well, I need the audio from this track of course, there's a synth on it.
But I also need to send the CC from channel 16 (I have the foot controller on ch 16)

Use an extra track that is only going to be used for the MIDI send?
