I know Linuxsampler/Fantasia but it would be really great to have a "all-in-one" like a mini Kontakt thing.
Have you tried Carla? I only recently tried messing with it and just un-archived it into my .vst folder where REAPER picked it up. So far I've only messed with loading single sf2/sfz files, but in the parameters there is a midi channel control. Mght be possible to load multiple sf2/sfz instruments in a single instance of Carla then use a bus to control them independently from other tracks. Like I said though, I haven't tried it but it looks possible.
