Default Detect start and end of sample

Hey all. Is there any mechanism for detecting the start and end of a sample? I'm doing multi-velocity samples of my snare drums, but my 64-year-old eyes aren't so good when I eyeball the wav files.

Difficult to give you an answer without knowing the context in which you are asking the question and what you're aiming to do.

There are several actions relating to start/end of media items (samples). Possibly you might find what you want if you search the actions list for "end item" or "start item" (without the quote marks).

If that doesn't help, can you give some more information please?

Thanks very much for the reply. I'm a dolt. I keep forgetting that you can quantize audio these days. Situation resolved.
