thanks justin, it seems to work. very cool now!

we're going to work a lot on harmonizing langpack and on a very long list of synonyms this summer.
It would be great if you could fix this bug with the accents in the synonyms too. it would save me having to write the synonyms without accents and with accents every time
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=279886

and if you could please add the line number column to langpack edit before July, that would be great too
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=279809

we need those two things before summer

thanks

Good one, could this be also added in the lane header right click menu?

What i find missing with lanes is an action to remove all unsoloed lanes, or all lanes except the comp lane.
After we finish with comping it would be useful to clean what we don't need any more and show one lane with the lane add area. Then we could blend the result with other files on the same track, or layer/comp something else.

????
To see just a single lane just toggle the "three horizontal lines" icon....

Yes but i don't mean this, if you read what i said is to clean everything that's not usable anymore. Also by just collapsing the comp lane, the lane add area is not visible in order to drop new items.
And i would prefer to have a better and cleaner workflow in cases I continue working on the same track with new edits or different recordings.

P.S: think it kind like the crop to take action.

I think with the new logic, you could write the synonyms only without the accents and it should work. But if you want to have the accents in there for 6.80 and earlier compatibility, I can make it filter them on the load side.

I didn't quite understand your last sentence.
If I remove all the words from the list of synonyms with accents, leaving only those without accents, this would also have to work for users prior to 6.80.
The filter you're talking about would apply at loading level to do what?
sorry for misunderstanding

Ah, ok, I think we can make it all work (though you will still need the unaccented duplicates for old reapers)

I don't know if I understood everything but I would like to write only one synonym (therefore without accent or c cedilla according to what you told me) and that it could work for the old reapers. I don't want to have to write all the duplicates anymore.
If this is not possible, we will tell users that the langpack is compatible from reaper 6.81
they just have to update

After installing the universal macOS build I get this message:

Quote:
"REAPER.app" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
So I guess someting went wrong with notarizing, or maybe it's "I agree" time again?

I discovered other ppl has this issue.
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=279558

I can't tell from which version, but it's quite "old" and I always thought it was me for some reason.

Thanks a lot.

Doing a bit of bench-marking between MacOS and Windows. Specifically with MP3 encoding. Windows seemed to be a little slower than expected. I then noticed that on the Mac the version of LAME is 3.100, while Windows is 3.99.5. I replaced the libmp3lame.dll in the Plugins directory, with 3.100 I downloaded from RareWares. Rendering on Windows actually got a bit faster and closely matched the what I was seeing on MacOS taking into account the single core performance ratings of each CPU.

I just looked and this current dev release still has 3.99.5 on Windows. Is there a reason that library is out of sync between the different OS builds of Reaper?

hello justin,

with the new logic for synonyms, you can no longer put a word in quotation marks in the filter that you want to appear exclusively without its synonyms with it.
Would it be possible, please, to fix this, while keeping the same logic?

The changes in 3.100 vs 3.99.5 are not significant and should not affect REAPER or the rendered output at all (see https://www.videohelp.com/software/L...ersion-history ) -- if you used a third party LAME and the performance is different, it is likely due to a different compiler being used.

Ah, I had half a thought that might be what was going on. Especially when another user with a different, older CPU wasn't seeing the same performance boost. Thanks for confirming.

Default Glueing in the background

Could operations like gluing be done in the background, while having access to the project timeline?
