Default I could use some help with percussion on a track

Here is a link to the WAV file of the track in question:

I posted this in my dropbox account.

As with my drums, I believe that all of the instruments that make up the percussion section are wrapped up into one track. You will clearly notice that at just after mid point of this track it gets significantly louder!

So, using reaComp what should I do with this WAV file to properly compress it? What I want to do is use the fader for volume automation through the song but want to avoid clipping.

I would appreciate your help. As far as the settings for the compressor, I'm not sure what is best. Do you just post the settings, or will you send me a project with that one track? Whatever works!

Here also is a link to a WAV file of the FX of the sound of Wind at the beginning of 'Ride Like The Wind".

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dji885t8um...s_Efx.wav?dl=0

As you will see, the sound effect is at the first part of the track. The entire track 'as is' represents the full length of the song.

What I would like to do now is take the sound of the wind and create about one minute of it to extend BEFORE the song starts and have it tie seamlessly into what is already there.

I only say one minute extra to give me plenty of room to mess around with various ideas.

What is required to accomplish this? Would someone be willing to show me how?
