WDL string.h includes and conflicts
I am really sorry to be squatting all over this forum but here's some useful info:
if you install WDL and add it to your regular include path, and you get a million compile errors relating to string and memory functions, it's because WDL's string.h is getting picked up instead of the standard library string.h. To fix this you need to do one of these things:
- rename WDL/string.h to something else, like WDL/wdl_string.h.
or
- don't put WDL in your include path at all, and whenever you need a WDL include, explicitly qualify it as #include "../WDL/whatever.h". (This is the WDL Official Recommendation.)
