Is M-Tron Pro3 vst working in wine/linvst?
I'm considering purchasing GForce's apparently excellent Mellotron vst M-Tron Pro on sale. There is no demo to test it's Linux functionality prior to purchasing unfortunately. I'm curious if anybody tried it with AvLinux, Reaper, wine, and Linvst succesfully? Their support aren't familiar with wine so couldn't offer much support understandably.

If the search engines don't report gui/graphics issues in win/mac,
and if the registration is simple, like with U-he, IK Multimedia, KV331 etc, then there is hope. Then if you can transfer your license, by sale, or gift, there is a soft landing spot, if it refuses to work. I would definitely try the free version of IK's Syntronik, which almost always works, has many capabilities. Four layers, and multi-effects let you build great new sounds. The full version is a great synth warehouse. A 60 gig download, and it integrates in SampleTank 4 (which now has a Free Custom Shop version https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st4cs/ and an SE version) A pair of Jason Rudess Syntronik videos, over 20 minutes to convice you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxXfYK_lbZo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9axdKQ1uo8 |

There is also the free native LinuxSampler,
https://www.linuxsampler.org/downloads.html and a very slick key-switched set of Mellotron samples in .gig format near the bottom of the page here. https://www.linuxsampler.org/instruments.html |

I thought I'd post an update on this in case anyone searches for the answer in the future. It does work, flawlessly. There are a couple hoops to jump through to get the installer working but nothing too challenging.
