MIDI groove box sync/latency

Hi,

I have been using a free vst - Cerebrum by Psychic Modulation.
It's old but seems to sound good.
Anyway, the only problem with it is, it plays out of sync with the beat.

As you can see from this image, the sync is provided by the host.
As it plays, lights flash in the sequencer panel in the lower half.
The lights are in sync with the metronome, but the actual sounds aren't.

Any ideas?
As a workaround, I bounced the output to .wav tracks then manually dragged them onto the beat, but that's not very practical.
