cutting?

i'm a noob. want to cut some empty section from the beginning of a track (from 0 to say 10 sec). how the heck do that?

move your mouse over to the left edge of the item, youll see it change shape, left click and drag it over to the right. Or click where you want it to start, hit "s" to split, then right click and delete the first part
