Default I can't authorize EZ Drummer

Problems. I just installed EZ Drummer. Now when I call it up for the first time I need to go through the authorization screen. I registered on the ToonTrack site and they sent me a code in my email. Called a verification code. I copied and pasted that in the authorization code box. Then I hit the authorize button. Doesn't work. I get this message:

"Reaper has encountered an error and needs to close." I've tried this a couple times and it does not work.

Is the verification code they send you the same as the authorization code?

This is silly. Serial numbers, computer ID numbers, verification codes, authorization codes.

So I need help on how to get this authorized. Hopefully EZ Drummer is compatible with Reaper.

Saw this on the ToonTrack site somewhere:

"For EZdrummer to be able to validate the code properly it is essential that your host does not capture keystrokes on input.

Many sequencers include a way to pass shortcuts onto plugins and will stop interfering when specifically set up to do so. Please refer to your sequencer's manual for details."

Any of you guys know anything about this?

1) No.
2) Definitely Yes.

Afraid I can't help you any further. Did you try the hotline?
Cheers & Good Luck

Then I wonder how you get the authorization code. When I read the printed instruction they don't jive. The printed instructions say:

1. Key in the Computer ID and serial number exactly as shown in the interface...

2. Generate the authorization code online. You will get a confirmation email. Paste in the code if your application supports it.

3. You will be greeted with a congratulation message...

Strange. There is no place to enter in any serial number on the screen.

Ah...I think I got it figured out. You gotta log in at the site and use the buttons on the right to first register the software and then generate the authorization code.

Yeah after I entered in the authorization code I got that same error message again and it crashed right to the desktop. I thought the whole thing failed again.

But then I opened Reaper again, and started a new project and added a new track and loaded EZ Drummer onto the track and it appears to work okay. So the authorization worked.

Don't know why though that it crashed to the desktop after I entered the code. Let me know if any of you have experienced the same thing.
