Default Loopback device in Windows

Not sure if this is the most relevant subforum, but here it is.
I haven't been able to use the Wasapi loopback windows device to record OS streams into a Reaper track.

I choose the device as shown in the screenshot, but I still don't get any new inputs for armed tracks - just the physical inputs on the soundcard.

Any suggestions?

fwiw, I don't get any new inputs, I just select Input Stereo > Input 1 / Input 2 (or Mono). Note the Preferences window must be closed!

Indeed, @Edgemeal, thanks for clarifying: it just works. I was expecting new inputs to appear, as when you use ReaRoute.

I think the "(Caution!)" warning in the Wasapi loopback driver is a reminder to turn monitoring OFF for the recording track, so to avoid a feedback loop (Windows -> Reaper -> Windows -> Reaper -> ...)
