Default OSX Ventura: Reaper Extensions don't load anymore.

Dear all,

I am on a Macbook Air M1, running Reaper ARM version.

On my previous OSX system, OSX Monterey, i had several Reaper Extensions installed, like the SWS extension.
I followed this excellent tutorial from Jon, on howto succesfully install these Extensions.
https://youtu.be/NDwmqJYJq9s?t=318

I recently upgraded to OSX Ventura and now, the Extensions don't load anymore.
I tried removing all Extensions out of the UserPlugins folder and putting them back one by one, but this isn't the solution.

Anyone has a clue ?

Kind Regards.

Hi vitalker, i hope you are doing fine !

Thank you very much for your help.

In my OP, i forgot to mention that i was using the latest dev-release of Reaper.

Although the 2 threads you posted didn't lead to a fix, it brought me to the idea of just re-installing the official Reaper 6.68 release (universal INTEL-ARM version).

And now, all my Reaper Extensions are working again !

Makes me wonder why the Extensions stopped working when i installed the latest Reaper dev-release ..

@Vitalker: Stay Healthy !

Kind Regards.

Thank you. You stay healthy and sometimes visit Telegram.
Maybe you should report this behaviour then?

I have this problem too. I've tried reinstalling Reaper and resetting it to defaults by trashing the REAPER folder in Application Support, but nothing will get SWS or ReaScript to load for me anymore. And I sure as hell can't figure out what to do with the new Ventura System Settings and its inscrutable Security settings. What a disappointing mess this all is.

It all works just fine on my PC. My how times have changed.

Pretty sure it was working fine for me on Ventura at first. Then yesterday I opened a project and it complained about missing extensions. ReaPack and SWS simply will no longer load no matter how many times I nuke and pave my Reaper install or reinstall the extensions.

Last night I reinstalled Ventura and THEN nuke-and-paved Reaper and the extensions.

Nope.

Then I tried turning off Gatekeeper and System Integrity protection and THEN reinstalling everything.

Nope.

*sigh*

Having started out on System 5 in 1987, it's "System 13" to me.

Yes they swapped positions, I didn't realize and make sense of it until reading this thread!! Many thanks.

It should be made more clear which downloads are for what systems just so it's easy for users

You guys should at least read what is written. What if there will be written "here is a virus" and you'll download it, because you'll think it's Reaper?

Well, this is the Mac version. In 30+ years of using Macs I've gotten precisely one virus, something called "WDEF" way back in 1987, transmitted via floppy disk. Cockos could change the name of Reaper itself to "Virus" and I'd still download it. I trust them.

I also trust my muscle memory. If I had to stop to scrutinize every button and every text label in Reaper before clicking anything, I'd never get anything done.

Oh well, my mistake I guess. I'm just glad they didn't change the positions of the accelerator and brake pedals in my Jeep. :P
