Yeah, but ... if you're too lazy for using the correct orthography then
you don't mean it strongly enough!
Couldn't resist ...

+1 here, another great feature that would be used daily since some tracks such as tempo and video would greatly benefit for film scoring!

So I explained in a post above, I made a script for waveform preview to help vertical alignment of items which are on different tracks:
I finally released a pack with the script, called Track items audio waveform visualizer,
Maybe it can be a workaround for some Track Sticking related needs you are facing. It is why I designed it in a first place.
Cheers !

This would indeed be a useful feature to have. Something like a "Stick track to: top/bottom" right-click option on the track panels would save me a lot of scrolling. Buses always at the top, sends on bottom.
Like someone else said they could just be visual shortcuts to the actual channel in the TCP/MCP so it wouldn't have to mess with any routing.

meanwhile, another script thread which can help is the Track Navigator:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=225799
Different design than my solution above.

Parent Track Auto-Sticking
What about parent track sticking, in addition to the on-off per track possibility ?
Here is prototype
https://codepen.io/X-Raym/full/RwpXbmM
It could help always be able to see parent track of tracks in view, to access parent track fader and FX for eg.
Definitly another request than the on-off per track, cause it is automatic, but only work inside a "block" of tracks.

Why not kill two birds with one stone?
Instead of sticky tracks a much more flexible solution would be to allow splitting of arrange view so can scroll parts of it independently. Could also apply to other windows such as mixer.
You achieve the same but with some extra benefits.

Yes please. Make it as in Cubendo. Just split the arranger window into 2 vertically resizable parts that scroll vertically independently of each other.

I see a lot of uses here. Aside from having A/B comparison with other tracks, it can serve as a chord track, lyrics track, notes/instructions, videos or images and so on.

+ it would be very useful to have a fixed area on the right side of the mixer for FX aux tracks.

Need this. It's good having the time signature changes visible in the ruler, and the ruler is always visible. But I need the tempo map visible as well to precisely place items. Split view would solve this.

While I agree that a split view (with its own corresponding track manager) would be useful under certain circumstances, this idea is intuitive and would absolutely be my default setting.

@JRTaylorMusic
Damn I totally forgot I thought about this and even made a prototype. And it was only few months ago 👀 I need some sleep for sure 😑
But yes, I still consider the feature would be interesting in some context

Sounds good to me as well!
But until then, you could use "spk77's track tags"
For large projects, it would be not fun setting it up, but once it's done it's just a selection on a button and your set.
Check it out

This is so clean. I waste too much time up-and-down vertical scrolling looking for things.
And +1 to this feature request. Just Googled this very thing.
