Default Icon Platform Nano with Reaper on Mac Mini M1

Hello everybody

Reaper User 10++ years here.

I didn't find much information about Icon Platform Nano in the forum.

Does anyone here have experience with this controller?

Long story short, I bought it recently, plugged it in my mac mini and it detected it immediately.

I opened Reaper, follow the instructions from Icon at Reaper Preferences (MCU etc) and almost everything worked fine except the meter on the master fader and some of the buttons.

After this I downloaded Platform_Nano app from Icon website to update the firmware, thinking that it might be help me get fully functionality of Platform Nano.

I followed the instructions step by step until the Audio Midi Setup, which was the last step I think.

At this point, instructions said to delete Icon Platform Nano from Audio Midi Setup's "MIDI Studio" window.

After that Mac Mini doesn't recognize Icon Platform Nano and when I opening Platform_Nano app to press "Connect" a new window opens with the following:

"FIRMWARE UPDATE
It looks like your device is already in firmware upgrade mode.
Please turn off and turn on your device and try again"

I turned off and then turned on my device many times but nothing happens.

Now, MacMini and Reaper both dosn't seem to recognize my device like before.

Does anyone knows how I can make this f*** controller work?

Thanx in advance!!

Dude, you will need to raise a ticket with ICON. My first nano arrived, it didn’t work out of the box (brand new) but after investigating, I eventually sent it back to the reseller and they sent a new one; works fine, except the buttons don’t actually work in MCU Mode.

Haven’t had the chance to download DrivenbyMoss drivers. Apparently they offer more functionality to the Platform Nano.

Hope this helps
