Sorry, doesn`t help - this utility only redistributes processing power to the application running in the foreground. So the CPU usage only goes down while Reaper is not in focus. As soon as you click on the Reaper window cpu usage is back to normal.
Additionally I`m not shure it`s a good idea to redistribute CPU cycles while recording music. The audio drivers are a background application and the audiostream could be even more prone to clicks, pops and dropouts if it doesn`t get its fair share of processor power.

Point well taken...I'll keep experimenting. I did see idle cpu usage drop precipitously though. I will report on my progress...
