Default Track Panel Backgrounds

Hi everyone.

A simple question for those of you who are expert theme tweakers!

I am just looking at adjusting the brightness of the Track Panel backgrounds for the default theme. they default to a light grey and an almost white for the selected track. I know you have the "Set track label background to custom track colours" and "Tint track panel backgrounds" in the preferences, but I like them un-tinted and would prefer the un-tinted colour to be darker if possible.

Does anyone know which setting to adjust to make them darker?

I've seen several themes with darker ones (and different looking ones), but I want to keep the way the default theme handles parent/child tracks.

Many thanks.

You would need to edit the track panel background image files in the theme. The theme is structured as a ZIP file so you can
-- copy it to. say, Default_ch
-- unZip it,
-- edit the tcp_bg.png, tcp_bgsel.png, mcp_bg.png and mcp_bgsel.png files in an Image Editor that support transparency,
-- zip it up again (make sure that the file extension is still .ReaperThemeZip
-- select it in Reaper.

Ok, figured all that out thanks. However, it has some sort of overlay on the tcp which is more noticeable due to it being darker now, I'm assuming due to the transparency.

Does anyone know how to make the tcp a solid colour instead of being transparent?

Thanks again.
