Default Is this possible?

Okay, heres my dilemma... is it possible for one instance of reaper to control another instance of reaper?

My setup is a Phonic Helix 12 FW, and an M-audio MobilePre. I record both at the same time using two different instances in reaper, but I would really like to be able to press record in one, and have the other follow suit.....any suggestions? thanks

Ok I remember.

You use ReaStream to send the audio from one comp to the other (master comp) and recorded it all on the master.

Nope and nope. I don't it's currently possible?

ReaMote is to allow the running of FX and VST'i/DXi stuff on another PC. ReaRoute is a virtual ASIO driver to send ASIO audio streams to/from Reaper and another app.

hmm reastream...didn't think about that, but that would require two computers....which I can easily do, but for less hassle, if there was a workaround for just one computer, that would be awesome. Maybe an FR is needed of some sort of "master transport" that can control all open instances of reaper?

Did you try rewire?

I just tried it. seems like it would work but I dont have 2 cards to be sure.

Open reaper then add rewire as an fx, it will open another instance rewired to that track.

yeah, I tried rewire...but when reaper is a slave in rewire, you can't use any ASIO in that instance....which is no good, heh.
