Default Adding silence to start of track

New to Daw recording.

How would I add a period of silence on all 4 tracks that have been recorded. I cropped out the chit chat before the the music I wanted to save now my tracks start playing without a silent period. So when I master and want to put several songs on a CD there is not enough of a silent period between the tunes....

Select a loop selection from the start however long the silent period is, then right click on the timeline, 'insert empty space into selection'.

Gregh...snap!
