Custom Tempo when Reaper is into recording mode

Dear Reaper developpers and friends,
I would like to make a suggestion for an extra field / box where I can insert a bpm-tempo, that's maintained while Reaper is into recording mode.
Often when I record midi parts via playing on my keyboard, I lower the actual bpm's so it's more easy to record complex parts in realtime at a lower tempo.
After the recording is finished I again speed up the tempo.
I know it's possible to create a custom action for this workflow, but it would be fantastic to have 2 bpm-fields, one for play-mode and another one for recording-mode.
