Default Default Pan Law Settings for Track Folders

Hi,

Context
There is common "mistake" made by user: no setting there folder track to 0db pan law.
Folder track affecting levels of folded tracks (SOLVED)
Folder/Buss Track volume drop..
Grouping volume drop
etc...

It can easily be correct when you know/notice it, but for beginners who just want to have "folders" for their track, they don't expect that a volume drop occurs (and don't especially look for Pan law Settings). I went through this :P

Request
We already have a default Pan Law Settings for all tracks but maybe it would be nice to have a Tracks folder default pan law settings so we can say for example "all parent tracks are 0db, all children are -3db".
Or "all level 1 track" pan law settings.

It will be easier for beginners, and faster for the others :P

What do you think of that ?

Seems useful to me. I use a lot of folder tracks myself. Since I work from a template I rarely have to mess with my pan law values on the folders.

But it does seem like a simple preference setting should work for this.

I'm a newbie so I followed the mentioned threads with interest. Of course I've fallen into the pits of the pan law.

Now I agree with you, (changeable) 0dB pan law (default for new projects) for folder tracks should be an option.

+1

Currently I use 0 db pan law for all tracks exactly for this reason that there's no default pan law setting for folders although I'd actually would like to use another pan law.

But just too much hassle imo to remember to change it manually to 0 db for every new folder track if using another pan law for normal / child tracks.
