Default A utility to fix midi names / assignments?

Does anybody know where I can find a utility to clean up the MIDI device names table and assignments? After plugging / unplugging my midi devices over time the assignments have gotten mucked to the point that I’m not sure which is which. I’ve plugged / unplugged / switched ports etc. But the device name table doesn’t clean up to my satisfaction.

This is on XP sp3, which I believe has a 10-device limit in the name table, which I’m running in to.

I vaguely remember a utility that would let you edit the name table and assignments – was it M-Audio? Or Korg?

I have midifix.exe but that doesn’t completely correct the problem.

This is as close as I can get, it lets you edit and uninstall usb devices.

Posted here for others who may be having trouble with usb midi device names.

Seems like a good utility. There are a lot of other interesting free utilities on this guy's site.
