Default WOW!

Hello everyone, I just tried reaper for the first time and my jaw hit the floor! What a great little DAW!!!! 5MB. Unreal! I LOVE IT.

My question: I have a Tascam US-428 I currently use with logic as an audio interface and controller. The audio interface works but I need this to work as a controller for reaper. Does it? If so, how is it done?
If I can get it working I will happily be $60 dollars poorer!
If not, will it be supported in the release version?

My setup: PMG5 1.6, Mac OS 10.5.8 Tascam US-428
Almost antique I know but with reaper I managed 60 audio tracks. Blew my mind!!!
Logic 9 gives disk too slow messages with 2 tracks sometimes. Nightmare!!!

Thanks for any info. cheers, vegetableman.

Did you already download the User Guide ?

Have a look at pages 249ff (Ch13.10), you gonna find help there, pretty good description.

Just test it, does the 428 emulate MCU or HUI or similar ?

go to REAPER preferences-->plug ins--> control surfaces

add a new controller choose Mackie Control Universal, click ok

It should already be set up in the audio midi setup of your mac if it works in Logic already so it should work in REAPER now

Did you ever get this working? I'm in the same boat and I'd love to see it working.
