Default Set toggle action to on ?

Hello,
I want to make 2 custom action that combines:

Latch preview mode + SWS: Toggle auto add envelopes when tweaking in write mode (OFF)

And

Latch mode + SWS: Toggle auto add envelopes when tweaking in write mode (On)

The problem is that the SWS action is a toggle action. I need it to be set to OFF in the first custom action and ON in the second custom action - not to toggle.

Is that possible somehow?

I need to make these custom actions, because the latch preview mode also auto add envelopes when tweaking (seems it counts as a writing mode) I need it to be off when in latch preview and on when in latch.

SWS cycle actions is what you need.
You didn't specify, whether you need track or global automation mode change, so I assume that it is global.
Install SWS extensions.
Extensions->Cycle action editor.
Right-click on the left side and add. Call it somehow.
Choose the action and right-click on the right side->Add.
Just type in to command column these values and if everything is correct, you'll get descriptions of the actions. Click Apply on the bottom-left corner. Do the same with the second picture. You'll find these actions in Actions window, so call them wisely.

The idea is simple: it runs the first custom and if the second action is ON, the custom turns it OFF. The same is with the second custom, but it checks, whether second action is OFF and if so, turns it ON.

Thanks,
I will try according to your instructions. In the cycle action it is possible to set the resulting actions themselves as toggle or not in the list on the left side. I guess these should not be toggle actions?

About global or tack automation change: does it matter in this case? The idea is that i make these cycle actions and then combine them with the appropriate automation actions to make combined custom actions, right?

Sorry, I don't understand your purpose.
Do you need one action to toggle between two states or two actions?

My purpose is to have to 2 buttons on my keyboard with shortcuts:

Button 1: Activate Latch preview mode for all tracks + Set "auto add envelopes when tweaking in write mode" to OFF.

Button 1: Activate Latch mode for all tracks + Set "auto add envelopes when tweaking in write mode" to ON.

So I've written actions to you. Now you just need to assign them to buttons. What is the problem?

I don't understand, what are you trying to say.

It depends on your preferences. You don't need to do anything with these cycle actions, because they're already prepared.

No problem

I will try these cycle actions this afternoon. I just tried to clarify the purpose since you asked.
Big thanks for helping out, I will report back after I have tried it.
