Default Help file missing

Brand new to Reaper, just purchased it and can't wait to get started. Dissatisfied Cubase and CEP user in the past.

Under help/documentation nothing appears. What do I need to do?

Thanks in advance

Download this .. http://www.cockos.com/reaper/usergui...Guide1_83x.pdf

You may also want the sample projects from here .. http://www.cockos.com/wiki/index.php..._Documentation (and look at the rest of the Wiki while there - hint: check the external links!)

There are also some videos here [urlhttp://www.reaper.fm/~pipeline/REAPERVideos/basics/[/url]

I've downloaded the User Guide, but it doesn't open under help, like I described above. What folder do I need to put it in?

Thanks!

Just paste them into your main Reaper folder. I have both the manual as well as the users guide in there. Program files>Reaper.

aloha Petimar, and welcome!

Heads up! Windows will insist you approve opening the file. If you try to open it within Reaper, you won't get prompted for approval, so Windows won't allow the file to be opened.

To fix this, open it once in Windows Explorer (by navagating to it outside of Reaper), and open it. When prompted, clear the Ask Every Time (or whatever) check box. Once Windows has your approval to open this file without asking, Reaper will be able to open it for you.
