White Tie is the Dan Worrall of theming (among other things, I'm sure). I saw "Download THIS" and just instinctively clicked on it.

Just when I though he had given up on humanity, he goes all Easter Sunday on us.

Many thanks are never enough.

Absolutely fantastic theme, this is what reaper needs as the default.

I am on windows 10 and have found just a couple of issues.

first one, when in the mix window, the faders do not appear.
I am only getting a fader appearing on the master track, on all other tracks the fader does not show/display at all.
I have tried to toggle between the different fader types/options, but still nothing appears.

Second one, in the mix window the track names do not display correctly.
If you double click on the track name, you can see that the track name is correct, however all of the track names do not show the full name correctly, only part of the name.

Other than that everything seems to be working great.

Again, thank you for such an awesome theme.

Here's what I came up with.

Had the default been like this, I most likely wouldn't have turned to other themes!

Mind you, I did change the volthumbs to suit a more flat look!

Again, thanks WT for this amazing script!

NEW VERSION 0607 in post #1 :
  • Update with modern Def6 theme adjuster controls : Align controls 'extend name' option, Enable/disable custom colored track names.
  • If your project has cutom colours, the script will randomly select from them to use as the background for the custom colour depth preview.
INSTRUCTIONS - Use the 'ERASE THEME' button (Theme Assembler script, top right). Then delete theme_assembler.lua and the theme_assembler folder from your scripts folder, and unzip the new ones there. Then carry on as normal.

Hello White Tie,

first of all thank you very much for your amazing script!

I just want to report a small graphical issues as you can see on the TCP-Track:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/6zqy791yi5...25.30.png?dl=0

I don't know why, but this happened only after the first update until the current version 0607.

If necessary i can send you more specs regarding my computer.

Thank you.

Yeah. I have both these issues. No faders except on the master. Plus track names just show a fragment of what should be there. If you double click as if to change the track name the proper text is still there. Just not showing when it should.

Default I'm getting mixed results

Some of the buttons work fine.
Others cause a large, black DOS scree, w/some text like "cmd.exe", in the upper corner.

Maybe needed a little more testing before release?

This looks gorgeous; a wonderful and modern flat take on WT's default theme. Great job! Any chance you could please share this theme?

Likewise, many thanks WT.

I'd love to once it's finished!

@White Tie ;

There seems to be a problem with the FXlist not showing up if the track tinting (I guess that's the parameter) is set to 0. Mind you, I'm not using the latest release. Just wondering if it's been fixed (or if it's at least in your radar)?

Edit: Never mind! I see it's fixed in later releases! Thanks!

Theme adjuster settings? Remember; this may look a lot like the Default 6 theme, but it isn't and it won't inherit any changes that you've made to that theme and any Theme Adjuster settings you've made for one will need to replicated (or copied, see your reaper-themeconfig.ini file) for the other.

Ahh, theme adjuster did the trick! (for me) and i am testing this using Only Defaults (no theme adjuster, no nothing extra).

Thanks Tie
Ps, did not know we were allowed to use/combine other schtuff during this dev'ing

What an amazing script!

Having just updated to 607b, did anyone else lose the ability to change the mixer mute button? Solo lets you change TCP and MCP but mute seems to only be TCP for me.

Default Invert button

I miss the invert button in small settings of the V6 GUI.

In the V5 GUI this was a bit more practical. Can you do it again in the V6 GUI like in the V5? Why was that changed? Anyone have a reasonable explanation?

If the functions "Mute, Solo, Invert" could be like in the V5, everyone could set their own practical position through the Theme Assembler. I think that was a lot better.

I think this is a question for White Tie?

Please look at the picture and you will understand what I mean.

Wow. Looks like the Reaper 6 in my dreams! haha

This script is amazing and really useful! Thanks, White Tie.

I found some shortcomings right now: light icons are hard to read on colored and light tracks. Perhaps a dark underlay option (like an optional shadow is currently implemented) would solve the problem. Or, an optional inverted color icon set, but I'm not sure about the effectiveness of that.

Keep up the good work!

Hi White Tie

thank you for this nice work
I tested on my pc and it's really great.

There seems to be a problem with the track icons, which disappear when changing the background darkness.
It would be nice to be able to keep the icons

I know the job isn't finished yet but as you ask I'm reporting the little bugs

thanks again

Sam

Started Messing with this yesterday and it’s awsome, one reason I like reaper is that I make it my DAW with what I need, and this is one step further.
A font settings would be awsome as in 1440p default font can be a pain.
A step further would be a easy way to ad custom UI images but that would probably be a hard function to manage?

Keep it up

NEW VERSION 0609 in post #1 :
  • Reorganise TCP ordering section to be more compact
  • Fix 200% mixer recarm button
INSTRUCTIONS - Use the 'ERASE THEME' button (Theme Assembler script, top right). Then delete theme_assembler.lua and the theme_assembler folder from your scripts folder, and unzip the new ones there. Then carry on as normal.

Nothing was changed, because if you like the v5 theme you can use the v5 theme.

Use the button to the right of the T-shirt.

I need to compose a really good answer for this, since apparently its going to keep coming up.

This script is just a way to facilitate using the gazillion images I made, because its too many to be very practical by hand. But allow me to again reiterate : the image copying in this script doesn't do anything you can't do yourself.

If you have images you already like, then the 'choosing' bit is already done so the script isn't needed. Then you just copy those files from one place to another. And that's it. That's how themes work.

Found it, thanks folks! 100% was fine, 150% and 200% were broken. Any problems in the future it would be great if you/everyone could let me know their display scaling (indicated top left of the script) ...if nothing else that'll remind me to check for these scaling based cockups that I seem particularly prone to

I don't know, perhaps very little? That stuff is currently at the stage of "I got the copying to work, so threw in some content". I'll be authoring some proper ones eventually, still lots and lots and lots to do.
