width knob inside a knob.. what do you think? It may not work in all knob designs. this knob is the one included in LBXstripper which I find really nice.

I think the knob png itself can be better but that is just IMHO

I have some ideas and would like to have the version to test them...

also... let me venture a guess ... for the width, you are using a second instance of the same png stack? but you have it positioned and scaled
so that the user's mouse only controls either the width or the pan png area?
IF that is true then I have an idea which I can send to you.

Custom knobs. You can make custom PNG files with Knobman.

Reminder:
As always, if you want to add the png files in the theme, don't do it in the HeDaMixer VIP/Default themes/Default_5.0 folder... that will be deleted when updating. Instead... copy the theme from there to your HeDaMixer VIP settings folder.

so the final path for the knobs will be HeDaMixer VIP settings\Default_5.0\knobs

For the png specifications for HeDaMixer, it has to be 100 frames, and vertical. Size doesn't matter as long as both width and height are the same size. I included an example knobman file in the theme knobs folder.

Quick question regarding gain reduction on your mixer.
Any plans for support all compressors, or is it on the manufacturer side this information to the DAW ? I mean, some plugins i can see the gain reduction on the mixer , most don´t show.

For the stereo pan + width, it has the two knobs, one inside the other. one controlled with Left dragging, and another with Right dragging. But I see I forgot the Dual Pan mode with Knobs. thx

yes.. that depends on the plugin manufacturer.
the scripts use the API function that REAPER provides which was introduced in v5.70

+ VST: support TrackFX_GetNamedConfigParm() with GainReduction_dB to retrieve the current GR from plug-ins that support the Presonus GR API

so if you have a plugin that doesn't report the Gain Reduction, you may request it to the manufacturer telling them to support Presonus GR API.

thank you for the idea... but for now I'll keep it as it is with circular centered knobs. I have tons of other things to do and little time.

strange thing...

I have the latest mixer and just got the graph installed

and trying to open the mixer on a project where it used to work OK, but now it says this:

__DEV__HeDaMixer VIP.lua:7453: attempt to compare nil with number

and while the mixer window shows up, it will not show the selected tracks on a tab...
Seems to be something it don't like with that project ...
I tried it on a new tab with a couple tracks from that project copied to the new tab and there it works fine...
However the graph does not show anything but the empty graph ...no lines showing loudness....???

EDIT: sorry but it gets stranger... I just switched back to the full project tab and now the mixer shows tracks...
but not all the tracks ...there are 10 tracks in the MCP and it shows only 5 in VIP...
Then with the graph running it says:
Error while inserting dpMeter on the analysis track
Please make sure you have installed

VST3:dpMeter4 (TBProAudio) (6ch)

Ok ...got some info for you on that nil error...

it is really a weird corner case:

the project that brings up the nil error is one that had the fairly new Band in a Box vsti plugin...
It is a dll that lets BB users load the tracks from a band in a box song directly into a DAW... like reaper.
Here's the really strange part...
IF I only open that project and call VIP Mixer, I get the error
but IF I open a second tab and on it copy a few of the wav file tracks from the project to it and call the mixer that second tab works fine.. AND then if I switch back to the project tab, then the mixer works fine also... REALLY a big WTF..
Also if I just remove the BB plugin, then VIP Mixer works as expected...
So now that I know this, I can deal with it...

However on the graph, I still get no lines showing ... no matter what I try
I see in the graph thread someone else says that also...

they are the same as the labels colors.. Color 3 and Color4 in the settings.

hopi... I see there is something wrong with the colors... for me.. color 3 changes the left one... but changing color 4 also changes the left one again... something is wrong LOL ... I'll look into it.

colors now work as expected... nice.

here are a few issues that I still see:

in dual pan mode...
IF the width is set to 53 px, which is the size of the black icon block at the top of the panel, [M, S, FX, I/O], then the readout for R lays over the black horizontal line... making it a little funky.. at a width of 75 px this does not happen...
It makes me wonder about the black lines that make the 'grid' of the circular panning part of the GUI...
why even have them as they are? What if, there was not any color change for that area [ i.e. it was just the same as the rest of the panel with no darker color] and the black lines at the top and bottom were gone, and the only black lines showing was the horizontal and the vertical middle line but only from the horizontal up... so like and upside down T shape?

Also, when in dual pan mode and using a user made knob, the center knob is still not showing... so we don't get a dual control

I tried to enable automation write when auto gain is enabled but it doesn't seem to work. when automation recording is enabled, the auto gain cannot move... I'll try more later.

But the idea of auto gain was a way to find a starting constant fader gain that would result in the desired loudness for the track, not to create automation.

I'm doing a new feature to store mixer fader gains, and pannings for each tab.. so it is like an automatic snapshot for each tab. For example, you can create a new tab with the same tracks and use it as a new snapshot for those tracks in the tab. Then you can load the snapshots by simply switching tabs. I hope you like it. example:

I need to finish the panning snapshot for the different panning modes, and make an option to disable/enable the restore snapshot on tab change and then you will be able o test it... or if you want I can publish the update right now as it is with the volume. I'm not having much time recently... :/

I have a better idea planned, but it may take some time... Also.. I am hoping for a native solution support from Cockos to manage delay on tracks properly. Right now I use JSFX delay integration in Track Inspector, but I see it as a workaround. It needs to be implemented properly.

When using Hedamixer (autolock selected tracks on start) or even if you lock tracks later, the locking gets ignored when adding new tabs. In the new Tabs only new selected tracks appear (and locked)
Expected behavior: initially selected tracks stay locked and stay the same for every tab

Second issue when changing tab volume snashot gets loaded, but no pan doesn't change

yeah... there is no support for some always locked tracks across different tabs for now. each tab has its own set of tracks.

what panning mode do the tracks have?
default? Mono pan? Stereo Pan? Dual Pan? or 3.x deprecated?

you are entering the email correctly now.. but now it says password mismatch... try changing the password in the site for something simpler.. maybe without spaces... or make sure you are entering the password with lower and upper case if that is the case.
