Cubase is more flexible here, it will only copy the selected automation lanes. Studio One (version 3 at least), will automatically select ALL automation lanes of an item. That means, it will always copy volume, pan, etc.... IF there is data.

ok thanks! So cubase is the most complete example imo. Studio one is just interesting about the flexibility of multi timed selection, which is not that so critical in my point of view.
In cubase:
range selection was introduced in v5
non continuous selections where introduced in v6 or 7
What i would like to state for devs and all: since time is limited please note that the most critical thing is to be able to make a single selection (tracks and lanes), everything else: 1) non continuos track selections 2) non continuos time selections, both are good but not critical at all.
A single selection and duplication is so fast that if we need non continuos we just do them one by one and still is fast.

Yep that's right. Cubase is more flexible in terms of track/automation lane selection and Studio One is more flexible in terms of timeline selection.
Studio One also has more complex and sophisticated shortcuts for selecting.
Cubase is very limited in that regard.

It's just the fact, that Studio One uses more modifier keys for tools. Still, Reaper uses more But it's ahead of Cubase in that regard.

Let's make sure this `Cubase 1.0 for Atari ST` feature is implemented in Reaper in 2019!
