Firstly, I am not familiar with pro sound so please go easy on me.

I use Reaper 64bit with Windows10 (64bit). I don't do recording but use Reaper to process convolution and XTC during playback.

I have a project with about 78 tracks and using them to control live playback from JRiver which is connected via Rearoute. I want to record the sound of one track to be analyzed further but I could not get it to record anything. The function works but there was no sound captured in the output file.

So I have tried various options as below.

1) Changed audio device from Motu 24Ao to DirectSound in Reaper.

2) Changed recording and playback defaults in Windows settings to Directsound, Realtek High Definition.

All I want is to record just one track to be send for someone to evaluate the DSP function. I have followed the tutorial videos and manual but it is just not working for me. Please help me.
