How do they compare to the Zebra2, which is quite expensive, especially when VAT is added.
i spent a whole day with the blok demo recently. quite impressed - especially for the current price. the 'bloks' available to build your patch/synth are still quite limited but i believe more are going to be added. there was some kind of drawable envelope/lfo blok which was cool for evolving pads etc. very low cpu usage. one thing that pleased me was how intuitive it is to build patches - i was up and running in no time. i wasn't too impressed with it's overall sound though.

karmafx is a wonderful synth. limitless sound design capabilities although cpu usage can very quickly mount up with complex patches (especially with 8 or 16 note polyphony). really do like its sound - can be very 'chunky' sounding and, dare i say, fat (the most overused word in synth descriptions...). very popular amongst psy trance producers so i hear. has a multitude of different oscillator types including the gorgeous PADsynth algorithm from zynaddsubfx. a little more of a learning curve to build patches when compared to blok.

no experience with syncmodular although keep meaning to try it - i believe it was the forerunner to NI's reaktor.

sorry but i don't really know how they compare to zebra facility wise - not too much experience. i have downloaded the demo a few times but its sound doesn't do a lot for me so i haven't really persevered with it in any way.
