Same for the MCP. The whole big area behind the Pan section gets fully colored on the selected track and is black for non-selected tracks.
I actually feel this theme is one of the best at quickly pointing out the selected track. It's never an issue over here at least.

Well I partly agree with the remark, because when you select a track... the title becomes black, instead of white.. so it suddenly becomes less visible...
