Resource usage will also depend on effects used and other factors. There are great samples/sounds/effects in SampleTank 3 and yes some of them will require more resources than others. If you feel that some are excessive in your usage and feel there could be optimization please do feel free to report your experience to support who will do their best to replicate and then alert the developers. Retro Audio Enthusiast: The best way to get a straight answer on something that varies like performance/resource usage is to do as suggestion immediately above and I believe as was suggested when you asked.
